How long will the visit last?

The assembly session visit is around 15 minutes long. However, we recommend allowing 20-30 minutes in total to allow time to hand out the books.

What happens during the visit?

During the visit, the children will be enchanted by magical storytelling, magic tricks and of course; a Christmas sing-a-long.

What time will our elf arrive?

We will aim to arrive 5 minutes before the visit to sign in at reception.

How much is the visit?

The elf visit is free. There is no charge, the only cost is the cost of the wrapped book for each child, which we offer for just £1.50. The books normally retail at between £4 and £9 each.

Is the visit suitable for older children?

Yes, our visits are suitable for all ages, we find that the older children like to experience the elf visit with their younger siblings and even if they are ‘non believers’ they love to get involved in the jokes, magic and stories.

We have children with special needs, is that ok?

Of course, our elves are all experienced and trained to engage children with SEN.

Can I add additional children at a later date?

We suggest that you slightly over estimate the numbers of children so that you have room for any new starters. Although we’ll do our best to add additional books for any extra children, it may not be possible as we get closer to Christmas.

Who are the elves?

Our elves are all DBS checked professional actors who have experience of entertaining children and large groups.

Yes, all of our elves are DBS checked.

How many elves will there be?

We send one elf to each school, they’re very experienced with entertaining large groups of children.

Will our elf need parking?

Yes, our elves will need parking in the school carpark or nearby please.

Will the elf arrive already dressed?

Yes, they will be all set and ready to perform, you won’t need to provide any changing facilities.

Can we invite the parents in to watch the assembly?

Yes of course, we recommend if you want to invite people in from outside that you ask them to be on time and settled in the hall ready for the elf’s arrival. Our elves have a very tight schedule so won’t be able to overrun if we’re waiting for parents to arrive.

Can you visit all of the classrooms?

We only do assembly visits for free. If you’d like the elf to visit each of the classroom’s please get in touch for a personalised quote.

Can we have a longer visit?

If you’d like a longer visit please get in touch for a personalised quote. Our free visits are based on a 15 minute assembly slot which allows plenty of time to entertain the children and create lots of magical memories.

What gift do the children get?

The children all get a story book/ novel. These are all suitable for their age, gender and key stage. We have collated our collection of books with advice from primary school teachers to make sure that they suit the reading levels of the children.

What kind of books do they get?

We use high quality books from top publishers such as Usborne, Hachette and Penguin. The books are all suitable for the reading level of the year group of the children. Please click here to see a sample of our books.

Can we have a visit without the books?

In short, no. The money that we get from the publishing companies is how we pay our elves, so I’m afraid we cannot offer a free visit without the children receiving the book. If you’d like a visit without books, please get in touch for a quote.

Do you have a minimum number of children?

Yes, our minimum number is 75, unfortunately to enable us to visit as many children as possible, we need to prioritise the larger groups so that we can spread the magic to more children.

How can you afford to not charge?

We don’t charge for our visits, only for the books. We get a small amount of commission from the publishing companies for buying such large quantities of books and this enables us to pay our elves.

Are you affiliated with a religious group?

No, not at all. Our assembly performances are completely focused on the magic of Christmas and we have no religious affiliation.

We have a very multicultural school community; will the visit still be suitable?

All children regardless of their culture, ethnicity or religion enjoy our elf visits. Our visits don’t focus on the ‘Christian Christmas story’ but instead on the magic of the North Pole and Christmas.

Are there any additional costs?

The only added cost is the courier fee of £8.50 which ensures that your books are delivered to school at the end of November, ready for your elf’s arrival.
